you will be responsible to the Senior Programme Officer.
The main responsibilities include:
 Monitoring trends and developments in utilization of services and making analysis of
strategies using data (programmatic and financial) from established plans, across
UNRWA’s different funding streams, in order to assess and report on progress towards and
compliance with set planning targets ; contributing to lessons learned, needs, and priority
processes; utilizing data as appropriate from the Results-Based Monitoring (RBM) data
warehouse system and other internal and 3rd party sources; ensuring quality and
standards are in line with UNRWA instructions/guidelines and industry standards,
indicators and good practice;
 Supporting the design and administration of results-based monitoring systems, indicators
and ratios within the RBM system; training staff on the use of data entry and reporting
from the information system; ensuring that RBM system data sets are up to date on
indicators for monitoring and reporting, and monitoring adherence to key planning targets
and deadlines.
 Producing regular quarterly reports and comprehensive semi-annual results reviews on the
implementation of programme objectives and achievements using the Results Review
Guidance and other best practice tools;
 Providing advice to the Senior Programme Officer on the development of appropriate
qualitative and quantitative tools and mechanisms to monitor programme performance
and evaluate the appropriateness and relevance of the logical frameworks established in
planning documents, including advice on research methodology, sampling design and
social performance and statistical analysis;
 Reviewing and analysing surveys and studies conducted by stakeholders and research
institutions on RBM methodologies; acts as a focal point for co-ordination of joint
assessments conducted in collaboration with consultants and partners; assists in data
collection, training and preparation of reports; providing input into project proposals and
project reporting;
 Gathering regular information on indicators and using this data for assessing progress
against objectives along with other relevant data (programmatic and financial); tracking
such information with the mid-term review and year end assessment of programme
strategy;
 Acting as a focal point on cross-sectoral issues, enhancing and facilitating interaction with
other relevant Agency programmes.

The incumbent may be required to travel in the Agency’s area of operations.
Conditions of service
Option One: Fixed Term Appointment, Grade 16
Monthly basic salary JD 1028.90 plus senior professional officer allowance of 15% of
the basic salary. Other benefits include monthly Provident Fund contribution (15% of basic
salary paid by the Agency), compulsory medical insurance, 30 days of annual leave, and
dependency allowance (if applicable).
Option Two: Limited Duration Contract (LDC- Band G)
Monthly basic salary starting from JD 1440.40 depending on the professional knowledge and

To qualify for this position, you will need:
Education A university degree from an accredited educational institution in public
policy, social science, operational research, statistics or related field ;
Work
experience
Six years of progressively responsible and relevant experience in the field
of monitoring and assessment, data analysis, programme and project
reporting and results-based monitoring using key output and
performance indicators in logical frameworks ;
Language(s) Excellent command of written and spoken English and Arabic.
