Senior IT Engineer
Location: Amman, JordanField: Engineering Consultancy Company
Duties and responsibilities:
To supervise and maintain all Microsoft windows applications.
To identify the software and applications requirements for the different engineering and support functions within the company, and ensures that all such requirements are met in a cost effective manner.
To supervise the acquisition, installation and maintenance of the company local area network hardware/software, as well as handling the technical aspects of IT purchases and as per the set budget and objectives.
To supervise network operations to include: troubleshooting connectivity problems; installing & maintaining routers; adding/terminating users; assigning rights and access; resetting passwords; establishing e-mail addresses; assessing and reporting operational status; performing backups and restores; etc.
To conducts technology orientation and exit briefing for all staff; prepares systems for new and existing staff.
To ensures technology documents/certificates such as product registrations, maintenance agreements, service contracts, etc. related to technology operations and/or technology services are evaluated, updated and processed.
Implements, administrates and maintains databases.
To manage the design, development and maintenance of web-based applications including websites and adds new functionality and improves user ability to maintain without technical support.
To supervises and performs routine preventive maintenance on hardware and software.
To analyze technology requirements and develops functional specifications. Conducts comparative analysis and competitive bidding when necessary.
To assists staff in understanding and using technology; conducts regular staff technology presentations and training.
To presents and implements technological alternatives to streamline functions and improve productivity.
To develop and maintains technology policies, standards and procedures manual; develops and maintains related technology checklists.
To be responsible for troubleshooting workstations (hardware), networks, software applications, communication systems and V/A conferencing tools.

To insures compliance with all software-licensing agreements. Manage and safeguards software media and associated licenses. Tracks software versions. Maintains centralized software use log.
To manage technology inventory to include procurement and disposal.
Conducting performance management activities to subordinates and managing the process of ensuring objectives are being met as advised.( PDP)
