Do you want to make a lasting difference?
If you are passionate about making a lasting difference for Palestine refugees, in this role you
will be responsible to the Financial Accounting and Systems Officer.
The main responsibilities include:
 Reviewing international and area staff payroll accounting; performing reconciliations,
analysis, reviewing and reporting of the payroll accounts;
 Working with Human Resources (HR) colleagues on all relevant HR and payroll matters;
 Controlling and maintaining the general and subsidiary ledgers of HQA;
 Analyzing accounting reports with budget and expenditure reports to explain variances;
monitoring the accounting operations; drafting correspondence and preparing reports and
statements related to his/her functions;
 Maintaining, analyzing and performing monthly reporting to external stakeholders;
 Reviewing and reconciling bank accounts assigned;
 Supporting with the monthly and annual closure of accounts and with the preparation of the
Agency’s financial statements and notes disclosures;
 Checking the lists of liabilities and commitments at mid-term and year end; drafting journal
vouchers to record them in the Agency's accounts and coordinating accounting actions for
the closure of accounts.
Conditions of service
Option One: Fixed Term Appointment, Grade 15
Monthly basic salary JD 927.30. Plus special occupation allowance of 20% of the basic
salary. Other benefits include monthly Provident Fund contribution (15% of basic salary paid by
the Agency), compulsory medical insurance, 30 days of annual leave, and dependency
allowance (if applicable).
Option Two: Limited Duration Contract (LDC- Band F)
Monthly basic salary starting from JD 977.20 depending on the professional knowledge and
experience. Other benefits include compulsory medical insurance, 30 days of annual leave prorated to the duration of the contract where less than one year, and family allowance (if applicable).
To qualify for this position, you will need:
Education A university degree from an accredited educational institution in
accountancy, business administration, banking and finance or a relevant
area;
Work
experience
At least five years of relevant experience in finance or accounting in a
governmental, international, or commercial organization, with an
emphasis on a computerized working environment;
Strong knowledge and working experience with MS Word and Excel;
Language(s) Excellent command of spoken and written English and Arabic.
Desirable qualifications:
 Working experience with an advanced ERP system;
 Working experience in payroll and HR related matters.
