1- Field Program Officer (SRF #168)

Direct Supervisor: Project Manager
Background

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Program development, implementation and support
  2. Assist the relevant managers as needed to ensure the timely development and implementation of work plans
  3. Prepare and implement the promotion plan for IMC services in each of the locations with assigned volunteers.
  4. Follow up with volunteers and keep records for their working hours.
  5. At field site level, ensure that program activities take place according to plans.
  6. Coordinate all trainings and arrange with trainers to make sure trainings are implemented and provided to volunteers and provide feedback on trainings.
  7. Provide all volunteers with capacity and trainings to implement home visits and promote IMC services.  
  8. Support the project manager to ensure timely delivery and availability of tools to implement program activities according to work plan, through coordination with field manager/logistics.
  9. Help program manager by monitoring the targets for each project indicator.
  10. Work closely with the program team and actively contribute to team building
  11. Coordinate with project manager and ensure work places comply with all visibility related matters per respective donor guidelines.
  12. Responsible for making the feedback box available and accessible
Logistics and Security
  1. Provide logistics and finance departments with document related to the volunteers working hours with verifications
  2. Work with project managers, field manager and logistic team to come together and develop and update procurement plans for each location.
  3. Support the Project Manager to ensure timely submission and processing of procurement requests.
  4. Support the Project Manager to coordinate with local government to seek approvals and follow up on sites permissions or any other related matters
  5. Support the Project Manager to ensure all resources and supplies are received, stored and dispatched in accordance with IMC’s procedures and are used judiciously for their intended purposes.
  6. Make sure sites clean, healthy, well organized and meet IMC’s safety standards.
  7. Ensure all IMC sites safe and secured during working hours and after working hours in coordination with security managers.
  8. Support security manager by reporting any security concerns or incidents related to staff, vehicles location, and situation in area.
Administrative and HR
Work with project manager and HR and ensure that:
  1. Staff attendance sheets are completed and time sheets are submitted to the HR department in Amman timely.
  2. Support project managers by collecting timesheets, cross check them with project managers and share them with HR.
  3. Actively promote PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) standards within International Medical Corps and amongst beneficiaries served by International Medical Corps.
  4. Support the Project Managers to ensure relevant guidelines, manuals, forms, posters, etc. are available in each of the work places (i.e. PSEA materials, IMC service guides, IMC code of conduct)
  5. Ensure that staffs and volunteers adhere to the IMC code of conducts in the execution of their duties.
Deliverables:
  1. Outreach and promoting services plan
  2. Volunteers training plan
  3. Weekly report
  4. Update relevant staff on monthly basis.
  5. Contribution to the work plans, budgets projections.
Minimum Qualifications Required:
  • BA degree social work or Psychology or relevant field
  • good knowledge of work with volunteers
  • 2 years of experience in management of the Psychosocial Support Centers
  • good knowledge in humanitarian work
  • Excellent language skills


2-  Mental Health Psychologist

Reports to:    Case Manager Mental Health / Focal Point

Scope of Work
  1. Provide evidence-based psychological assistance to support clients and their families with mental health and psychosocial issues.
  2. Remain up to date on evidence-based psychological interventions and advances in the field of psychology.
  3. Remain up to date with professional development opportunities.
  4. Support other psychologists as part of a peer supervision model.
  5. Assist the case management teams in improving forms, care plans and mapping of community support services.
  6. Take on team coaching and mentoring of team members.
  7. Organize the development of initial care plan with focus on any immediate safety concerns.
  8. Participate in case conferences, supervision and training opportunities.
  9. Develop and deliver trainings for staff on topics relevant to psychological practice and case management.
  10. Develop care plans that are individualized and mutually developed with the client.
  11. Monitor on-going care plan development with special attention to safety issues.
  12. Work as part of a multidisciplinary team and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
  13. Conduct risk assessments and advise staff on carrying out risk assessments and the development of safety plans.
  14. Coordinate the provision of case management and psychosocial services to patients, families, and significant others to enable these parties to deal with the impact of illness on individual family functioning and to achieve maximum benefits from healthcare services.
  15. Evaluate client satisfaction and quality of care provided.
  16. Offer direct therapeutic support for clients referred.
  17. Perform other job-related duties as requested by Supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications Required
  • Master Degree in Psychology holding a license to practice psychology in Jordan is required.
  • Experience with an NGO (preferred).
  • 1+ years’ experience in mental health
  • Good command of both written and spoked English


3-  Family Medicine/ Internist


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Scope of work
  Provision of PHC services:
  1. Preventive
    • Medical checkup
    • Family Planning Counseling
    • Child growth monitoring and immunization status
    • Health education provision and increase people awareness about their current health conditions and health promotion in general
  2. Curative
    • Medical consultation including family, medical history and full physical examination
    • Management of chronic conditions & NCDs patients.
    • Management of Acute cases.
    • Prescription of drugs according to national/international standard treatment protocol
  3. Referral
    • Referral to secondary and tertiary care as needed
    • Referral to Basic Rapid Diagnostic test (clinic nurse)
    • Referral to clinic obstetrician-gynecologist
    • Referral to clinic health educator
Administrative:
  • Fill patient clinical record file for each patient visit
  • Prescribe drug on clinic prescription form
  • Fill referral form for any referral case outside of clinic
Technical Assistance (TA):
  • Provide TA in development of health education material and health promotion campaign as necessary
  • Assist in development of Health Education Plan as necessary
  • Provide advice on drug and medical supply order in coordination with clinic pharmacist
Training:
  • Participate in medical and management trainings as determine by IMC senior management. 
  • Continue self-education to adhere with national/international standards and new.
  • advancements in the field of general practice and other relevant medical areas.
Qualifications Required:
  • BCs in Medicine.
  • Part one board in family medicine or internal medicine.
  • 1- 4 years’ experience in Family medicine or internal medicine.
  • NGOs experience is preferable

4-  Project Officer

Location : Amman 
BACKGROUND

  • Assist community projects coordinator to ensure that a high-quality program is delivered.
  • Compile the volunteer wages on monthly bases from the field team.

5-  Project Manager

Location: Amman & Field

JOB SUMMARY:
Facilitate the project implementation; ensure that the project’s goals and deliverables will be met.  Define project tasks, resource requirements and develop full scale project plans. Assemble, coordinate project staff, manage project budget, and manage project resource allocation. Plan, schedule project timelines, and track project deliverables using appropriate tools according to IMC’s policies.
Provide direction and support to project team, quality assurance, constantly monitor and report on progress of the project internally and externally in coordination with other departments. Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs.

JOB SUMMARY
Child Protection is the prevention of and response to abuse, neglect, exploitation and violence against children. Child Protection case management is the process of helping individual children and families through direct social-work-type support, and managing information well. Within child protection case management, there should be appropriate involvement of children throughout the process, as well as full consideration of the best interest of the child.
The position of Child Protection Counselor will be a counseling professional with a formal degree in psychology and or counseling. The position requires the Child Protection Counselor to work closely with the child protection case management team to support identified children and their families through counseling based intervention. The Child Protection Counselor will also run support groups for children with specific and common issues and protection concerns, as well as train Child Protection Case Managers to run support groups. In addition, the Child Protection Counselor will run parenting support classes, and will train staff and volunteers on a range of topics related to child protection, PSS and psychological support.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Where relevant, assist Child Protection Case Managers in initiating, developing and reviewing care plans for individual children, with participation from the child and their family, helping clients to define goals, plan action and gain insight
  • Monitor on-going care plan implementation in relation to a child’s counseling needs, with special attention to identifying risk issues and communicating these issues to the allocated Child Protection Case Manager
  • Provide counseling with the aim to improve the social and emotional functioning of children and their families, maximizing overall community well-being, encouraging clients to discuss emotions and experiences
  • Examine issues including substance abuse, bullying, anger management, relationships, LGBTI issues, self-image and stress
  • Offer specialized and direct therapeutic support for children with child protection concerns
  • Provide group and individual counseling and guidance to children and their families
  • Contribute to the case management file, including assessments, counseling plans and individual client progress
  • Conduct intake and psychosocial assessments of clients
  • Conduct review for appropriate utilization of services from case intake through to case closure
  • Evaluate client satisfaction and quality of care provided
  • Conduct psychosocial and awareness activities in International Medical Corps safe spaces and clinics
  • Oversee the referral to specialized psychological service providers for higher level care and other services as needed.
  • Support new hire orientation and training as required
  • Assist and train case managers on support group techniques and evaluation
  • Deliver training on Psychological First Aid, family counseling, psychosocial support and related topics
  • Work in close collaboration with the child protection case management team
  • Contribute to proposals and report writing of PSS activities when requested
  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management staff as required; contribute to donor reports and internal International Medical Corps reports as required

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor degree in social work, psychology, counseling, social science or related field is mandatory
  • Experience providing counseling is mandatory
  • Child protection experience is preferred
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in Arabic and English

7- Anesthetist

Location: Al Azraq

Scope of Work:
  1. To provide high quality anesthetic services in the hospital.
  2. To perform any other treatment required. This will be done in accordance with the Jordanian MoH policies, protocols and universal hygiene standards, and in multidisciplinary collaboration with other medical doctors, nursing services, and other hospital staff.
  3. To supervise and train other clinical staff (SOPs, on-job-training, etc.) in his/her own field of expertize.
  4. Provide medical care related to anesthesiology and intensive/emergency care to patients, including prevention, diagnosis and treatment, per- and postoperatively
  5. Ensure the implementation of Jordan MoH clinical policies, tools, guidelines and protocols related to anesthesiology and intensive care in order to minimize clinical risk and to extend best possible anesthetic and intensive/emergency care practices, i.e. appropriate preoperative risk assessment and patient information, treatment and monitoring patient airway and vital signs until complete recovery, postoperative analgesia/pain relief, and other tasks under his/her expertize.
  6. In collaboration with other medical colleagues, collect the relevant statistic data and ensure the use of management tools in order to improve the anesthetic and intensive care services provision and to ensure the safe and highly qualified overall performance.
  7. Supervise and train the ANE, OT and other clinical staff in matters under his/her expertize, supervise the maintenance and running of the anesthetic and intensive care unit equipment, advising and documenting anesthetic drug consumption, prepare new orders when required and ensure their rational use, ensure pharmacy and medical consumable stock levels to be updated and appropriate. This will be done in cooperation with the pharmacist, logistic staff.
Minimum Qualifications Required:


•Anesthesia board issued by Jordan Medical Council.

•License to Practice in Jordan as anesthesia Specialist issued by MoH
•Good English skills.
•Minimum Experience 2 years.
