Project Assistant
Assignment: The REACH Project Assistant works closely with the Field Officer in carrying out primary data collection in the field through undertaking interviews and focus group discussions. The REACH Project Assistant is directly supervised by the REACH Field Officer and will support the REACH team in its assessment and analysis work. The role will support updates to databases as needed and data entry.
Chain of command: REACH Senior field manager , field officer , REACH Project assistant , data collector/community mobiliser.
Functions
The REACH Project Assistant is responsible for completing the following tasks:
- Undertake interviews, focus group discussions and other primary data collection activities in the field as instructed by the Field Officer, or other staff;
- Supporting the update of REACH database and other data entry as needed;
- Monitoring and conducting the primary data collection in the field and ensure it is collected with quality;
- Supervise teams of cash-for-workers and/or junior level data collectors during large-scale data collection
- The data collector officer must enter data accurately and according to guidance provided by training into either Kobo or Open data kit forms, the standard platforms for quantitative data collection by REACH
- REACH Project Assistant must participate in and document debriefs following data collections, and also contribute to lessons learned documentation, specifically sections relating to data collection
- REACH Project Assistant are responsible for following data monitoring and checking on a daily basis
- Supporting the Community Liaison team as needed;
- Reporting any security incidents immediately to the Field Officer;
- Providing additional support as required relating to the implementation of activities ; Such as supporting the Field Officer/ in training cash-for-workers and/or junior level data collectors
- The duty station is host communities Governorates.
