The main responsibilities include:
 Planning procurement actions for assigned projects, which involve the procurement of a
variety of goods and services of a general nature, and some technically complex
commodities; reviewing and analyzing technical specifications to ensure completeness,
accuracy and competitive qualities, and identifying optional courses of action; supervising,
assigning tasks to, and assessing the performance of his/her subordinate staff and providing
them with coaching, mentoring and training;
 Advising staff, including Requisitioning Units, in matters regarding procurement policies and
procedures, technical specifications, pricing and product/service availability, as well as
appropriate substitutes or alternative options to reduce costs;
 Conducting market research to keep abreast of market developments; researching and
analyzing statistical data and market reports on the situation, patterns and availability of
goods and services;
 Developing vendor evaluation criteria; preparing and conducting solicitations and evaluation
of bids/proposals/quotations to ensure overall competitiveness, quality, and conformity to
specified requirements; ensuring that the recommended award(s) are made in the best
interest of the Agency;
 Compiling, verifying and presenting procurement data; preparing and reviewing all relevant
supporting documents and recommending approval of the contract or purchase order;
authorizing purchases in line with delegated authority, and, in cases where the amount
exceeds authorized signature authority, preparing submissions to the Contracts Committee
for review and subsequent approval by the authorized official;
 Following up and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services in coordination with
contractors and Requisitioning Units; overseeing adherence to contractual agreements;
advising concerned parties on contractual rights and obligations; monitoring contract cycle
management; ensuring that contracts are closed and filed in a timely manner; reviewing
contract performance evaluations; addressing vendors’ performance issues in coordination
with Requisitioning Units;
 Preparing and reviewing a variety of reports, correspondence, and documents (e.g.
purchase orders, contracts and amendments) on procurement-related matters;
To qualify for this position, you will need:
Education University degree from an accredited educational institution in business
administration, public administration, procurement, supply chain
management, contract law, or related area.
Work
experience
At least four years of relevant experience in procurement, contract
management, supply chain management or related area.
Language(s) Excellent command of spoken and written English and Arabic.
You will also need to demonstrate the following competencies:

Conditions of service
Monthly basic salary JD 919.80 plus special occupation allowance of 8.40% of the basic
salary. Other benefits include monthly Provident Fund contribution (15% of basic salary paid
by the Agency), compulsory medical insurance, 30 days of annual leave, and dependency
allowance (if applicable).
