Translation Specialist
Summary:
To interpret and translate content from English to Arabic (and vice-versa), to support the activities of varying projects taking accountability for the accuracy of the translation and ensuring that the content is retained subsequent to translation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate project materials such as presentations, documents, policies, articles, etc. ensuring that all required project deliverables are available in English and Arabic languages when required and are fully formatted
- Review required material and develops and/or reviews Arabic/English version, ensuring that the context of the original text source is retained
- Ensure translations of technical terms and terminologies are accurate and remain consistent throughout translation revisions
- Review translation drafts to ensure relevant terminology is correct in syntax, spelling and meaning and is culturally acceptable
- Maintain a library of reference terms and periodicals to remain abreast of terminology in the consulting industry
- Provide linguistic advice in respect to relevant documents
- Perform other duties in line with scope of work and as assigned
Knowledge & Experience:
- 4 to 6 years of experience in the translation field
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Literature or equivalent is required
