١-  Security Manager - Amman

Generic responsibilities:
  • Adherence to NRC policies, guidance and procedures.
  • Development and implementation of the NRC Security Management System at national level.
  • Conduct Security Risk Analysis (SRA) according to minimum operational requirements (MOSS).
  • Minimize security risks to the operations of NRC.
  • Management of security staff at country office.
  • Support, training, control and development of security staff in all offices.
  • Prepare reports as required.
  • Communicate and cooperate with relevant external security actors.
  • Train and develop staff in safety and security.
  • Actively promote PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) standards & principles within NRC and amongst beneficiaries served by NRC.
    Specific responsibilities
  • Undertake Organizational Risk Assessments and produce Risk Management Plans to guide management decision making. Work with operational managers to implement the Risk Management Plan, providing technical support and quality control.
  • Develop, maintain, and update all national security plans.
  • Work with the Area Managers on emergency preparedness as it pertains to their programmes, providing oversight and technical support regarding security and emergency evacuations. As a member of the Crisis Management Team provide sustained support to operational teams during an incident.
  • Monitor and analyse the security situation, ensuring reliable security information as basis for informed decision-making. Work with management to ensure that all staff are briefed upon arrival and kept up to date on security situations as required.
  • Facilitate on ongoing culture of learning as it relates to safety and security and arrange for ongoing trainings including HEAT, on-site training, etc.
Our Ideal Candidate:
We are seeking a university graduate with a minimum of five years of experience. Has experience from working as a senior Security Manager in a humanitarian/recovery context, Previous work experience in Jordan and in multiple contexts preferred (Camp and Host). Knowledge of institutions, stakeholders and key contacts in Jordan preferred, Knowledge of NRC operations in Jordan preferred.
We are particularly looking for a positive individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills, who can build trust and confidently navigate both internally and externally at different levels, to have the ability to analyze data and trends for informed decisions and Capacity building skills.
In this position, you will join highly motivated and expert staff who are making a difference to the most vulnerable people in the world's biggest displacement crisis.

٢-  JIF Liaison Team Leader - Amman

Roles and Responsibilities
The JIF Liaison Team Leader will assist in developing and maintaining good working relations between key Ministries and JIF members, and support the overall project approval process within JORISS. The JIF Liaison Team Leader will support JIF members in this process.
Generic responsibilities:
  • Management of project staff.
  • Implement plan of action for delegated portfolio of support function’s projects (activities, budget and project documentation).
  • Day to day follow of progress in project implementation.
  • Ensure adherence and compliance with NRC policies, support function tools, handbooks and guidelines.
  • Ensure that projects target beneficiaries most in need, and explore and assess new and better ways to assist.
  • Promote and share ideas for technical improvement.
  • Prepare periodic progress reports and other documents.
  • Ensure capacity building of project staff and transfer of key skills.
  • Liaison and collaborate with relevant local authorities and stakeholders.
  • Promote the rights of internally displaced/returnees In line with the advocacy strategy.
  • Actively promote PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) standards & principles within NRC and amongst beneficiaries served by NRC.
Specific responsibilities
  • Provide feedback from JIF Members to MoPIC on JORISS platform;
  • Make sure all JORISS rules and regulations are well informed and known to different INGO members and advise members on the project approval process;
  • Keep abreast of developments regarding the GoJ’s stand points and policies and regularly brief JIF Management on changes and impacts on JIF’s members;
  • Develop systems, and capture lessons learned to ensure adequate collaboration with different levels of the GoJ;
  • Maintain positive working relations with relevant ministry;
  • Liaise with JIF members to provide orientations and trainings on JORISS requirements and standards;
  • Seek methods to develop and maintain coordination and cooperation mechanisms between JIF members and ministries.
  • Attend relevant meetings and working groups through JIF as needed.
  • Provide feedback to JIF coordinator on new regulations or guidelines from different ministries.
Our Ideal Candidate:
We are seeking a university graduate with a minimum of three years of experience, has knowledge in Jordanian legislation and policies related to INGO work in the country, Good knowledge of governance and administrative structures within Jordan, experience from working inside a governmental structure, has experience in public relation and experience with liaising with government of Jordan. Familiarity with the JRP process, project application, JORISS system and reporting to line ministries. Experience working in INGOs is an asset; Able to effectively communicate in meetings, with good presentation and negotiation skills.
