King Hussein Cancer Center is seeking to hire the following vacancy:
Senior Anesthesia technician
Responsibilities and Duties
- Check and secure central supply.
- Check and secure gas cylinders.
- Assemble and prepare anesthesia equipment prior to surgery, prepare and sterilize monitoring equipment’s.
- Assemble, calibrate, and operate monitoring equipment during surgery.
- Ensure that required drugs, supplies, and equipment are available during surgery prepare drugs for an anesthesiologist as prescribed.
- Assist the anesthesiologist blood transfusion, intravenous infusion, and intravascular procedures.
- Prepares and position the patient for surgical procedures.
- Assist and monitor the patient during surgery.
- Assist the physician with emergency resuscitation measures.
- Accompany patient during transporting to recovery room.
- Perform on-call and shift assignment.
- Supervise the anesthesia technicians inside operating theatre and outside operating theatre locations.
- Report to the chief for any event or incident outside location.
- Handling airway management during on-call (intubations in CPR)
- Follow all hospital related policies and procedures.
- Perform any other related tasks as assigned.
Education & Professional Experience (Essential Minimum Requirement):
- Bachelor’s degree in Anesthesia or Diploma in paramedical science
- Minimum 8 years of experience for bachelor’s and 10 years of experience for Diploma
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent command of English
- Computer proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
