About the Children’s Museum Jordan:
The Museum is a national institution registered as an NGO and works in providing informal learning experiences to children aged between 1 and 12 years old. The Children’s Museum receives 300,000 visitors annually from schools and families from all backgrounds. The Museum is located inside the King Hussein Park (www.cmj.jo).
About the position:
Under this position, the candidate will be reporting to the Development & Fundraising Manager.
The Development and Fundraising Officer will oversee the process of taking the Department to the next level. This includes but is not limited to:
- Developing and pursuing fundraising leads and opportunities by preparing and researching potential donors and profiling them as well creating a database of entities.
- Researching potential grants locally, regionally and internationally applicable to the Museum’s scope of work
- Writing and developing proposals in both Arabic and English
- Maintaining current donors’/ partners’ database and enhancing the relationship with them.
- Assisting with fundraising communications as well as the necessary reporting to donors/partners.

Relevant Experience for the Position:
The best candidate for this position will have at least two years in development & fundraising, preferably in an NGO. The candidate should also be very fluent in English and capable of writing proposals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, finance, development or a related field.
- At least two years of experience in fundraising
- Excellent command of English; spoken and written.
- Native Arabic speaker with good writing and reporting skills.
