Responsibilities and Duties
- With the technical supervision of the remedial education Coordinator and Senior education technical advisor, participate effectively in development and designing the education plans of the remedial education program.
- With the technical supervision of the remedial education Coordinator held placement, pre and post tests, correct tests and share accurate records with center coordinators
- Commit to all technical trainings on remedial education methodology and implementing remedial classes following RI remedial education methodology.
- Distributes learning materials including; learning worksheets, remedial education plans, previous Tawjihi exams and model answers to secondary school students.
- Encourage beneficiaries to be more committed to attend remedial classes on daily basis and collaborate with others to decrease levels of dropping out from the program.
- With the technical supervision of the remedial education Coordinator commit to the classroom management mechanism, ensure that behaviors controlled including receipt, and deliver students’ before and after the educational sessions.
- Follow up students’ performance and design and prepare individual improvement plans for each student/group of students to develop their capacities and work to implement them.
- Commit to implementing and using updated MoE curricula, and RI developed supplementary learning materials.
- Collaborate effectively with students 'parent's and community committees to ensure students’ interest and needs are met.
- Carry on the MoE curriculum accurately, and make sure that remedial classes implemented according to the developed plan.
- Organize the physical environment accordance with interactive approach and teaching method that described in the lessons plans, and prepare needed educational aids.
- Coordinate and collaborate positively with the technical and administrative staff.
- Commit to attend all the courses and training held by management of the projects or any other partners including MoE.
- Commit to respecting the Child Safeguarding and protection Policies.
- Undertake all other duties that may determine by the direct line manager "Center Coordinator" , and that are compatible with the job.
Qualifications and requirements:
Minimum requirements:
- Bachelor of one of the following fields: Mathematics, Science, Arabic language and or English Language
- Teaching experience of not less than 3 years including Tawjihi level.
- Willingness to travel to refugee camps and able to work under pressure.
- Knowledge of the Jordanian educational system and its innovation.
- Knowledge and experience in remedial education programs is considered.
- A high degree of seriousness and professionalism at work.
- Commitment and motivation to learning and self-advancement.
- High flexibility and the ability to self-directed.
- Commitment to keeping children safe and full aware of child safeguarding principles.
- Experience with case management and referral mechanisms is a plus.
- Experience working with children and youth, especially refugees, considered as an advantage.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Strong integrity, honesty, and determination to uphold the values of the organization.
- Use of creativity to find alternative solutions.
- The desire to learn, willingness to ask questions, cultural sensitivity, and flexibility.
