Human Resources Director Amman - Jordan


MSF France is running since 2006 a comprehensive reconstructive surgery program for victims of conflicts from neighbouring countries in Amman, Jordan. These activities include transfer of patients from their country of origin (Yémen, Iraq, Syrians in Jordan, gaza), surgery (plastic, orthopaedics and maxillo-facial), physiotherapy, psycho-social care and food & accommodation.
The project is located in Al Mowasah Hospital, 148 beds, 8 floors; 200-250 patients present including hotels and flats
There are approximately 60 IPD admissions per month and 800 consultations per month, around 220 patients presents in Amman.

Main objectives and responsibilities of the position:
Under the management of the Hospital Director, the Human Resources Director is responsible for the overall coordination and management of the HR activities in the hospital. The Human Resources Director is part of the coordination team and s/he is a key player in the in the implementation of the strategy in Al Mowasah Hospital
Main tasks of this position:
  • Responsible for managing all aspects of human resources functions including recruitment, staffing, training and development, performance appraisal and personnel administration (payroll, benefits, etc.), ensuring that these follow existing MSF practice and guidelines
  • Responsible for all HR contracts 
  • Ensure HR decisions and practices comply with Jordan Laws and regulations 
  • In charge of the elaboration of the HR budget and its follow-up
  • Develop and ensure the implementation of HR strategies, policies, procedures and policies
  • Take ownership of the HR results and outcomes and provide necessary analysis
  • Make sure all the HR are appropriately managed and support the different departments on the definition of their HR needs and their organization
  • Provide supports in design and management of the departments 
  • Participate to and mitigate conflicts resolutions. 
PROFILE
  • A Bachelor’s degree in management or Human Resources management diploma
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working in Human Resources management and leadership positions 
  • Experience in humanitarian field
  • An experience in a healthcare institution is highly recommended
  • Ability to work at both strategic and operational levels
  • Excellent skills in planning, organizing and managing
Languages:
· Fluent English (oral and written) required 
· Arabic/ French an asset

Status:
WORK LOCATION: Amman – Al Mowasah Hospital
CONTRACT: Fixed term contract – Full Time – 1 year 
Probable start date: 1st of June 2019
