Business Teacher - IBDP
Job background:
The purpose of this job is to hire a Business Teacher for the Diploma Program at the Ahliyyah School for Girls.
Roles and Responsibilities
The main role of the Business Teacher is to implement and teach the International Baccalaureate curriculum for the Diploma Programme. The following bullets briefly explain main duties and responsibilities of the job that are not limited to:
- Plan, initiate, and guide the teaching of business, which involve knowledge and understanding of the IB resources.
- Communicate regularly and constructively with students and parents.
- Use teaching methods engaging students, stimulating intellectual curiosity including the use of effective questioning, presentation and resources.
- Set high expectations for student’s behavior, establishing and maintaining a good standard of behavior management through well focused teaching and through positive and productive relationships.
- Any other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
- University degree in Business or in any other related field.
- Experience in teaching Business is a must (3-5 years)
- A Category 1 BM IB certificate is highly recommended.
- Excellent Command of English Language is a must.
- Computer skills at a level that permits creative use of technology in the classroom
Key competencies:
- Strong service orientation, flexibility and understanding of different school stakeholders’ needs is essential.
- Presentation skills and public speaking skills.
- Excellent planning, coordination, organizational and analytical skills are essential.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with teachers at all levels in a multicultural environment.
