Assistant Reservation/Communication Manager

Main Functions
  • The Assistant CORE Manager will help oversee the communication / reservation operation to ensure the best guest experience is provided.
  • Understanding room types and their layouts, Allocations, rates, availability, Travel Agent commission, Performa Invoices.
  • Utilizing the computer system in retrieving, updating and inputting room reservations.
  • Processing internal reservations, management reservations, reservations from the Central Reservations Office, employee complimentary requests, rooming lists, group blocks, travel agent discounts, telexes and faxes.
  • Handling Hotel calls / Outlet reservations and spa inquiries when needed.
  • Ensures that guest correspondence is delivered in the shortest time possible.
  • Respond properly in any hotel emergency or safety situation.
  • Assisting the Director of CORE in the reconciliation of monthly telephone bills.
  • Attend the Forecast meeting and Communication meeting when the absence of the Director of CORE.
  • Coordinate the work schedule for the CORE team.
  • Allocate duties and delegate work within the department continuously monitoring the process
  • Deal with any complaints in the area of responsibility, to investigates all pertinent details
  • Maintain maximum occupancy within the hotel, avoid overbooked and maintain the correct guest mix   
  • Instill sales orientated attitude to the reservationists, include compete knowledge of all suites and hotel facilities
  • To act as the Hotel's GRS lead.
