1- Art Facilitator

About the Children’s Museum Jordan:
The Museum is a national institution registered as an NGO and works in providing informal learning experiences to children aged between 1 and 12 years old.  The Children’s Museum receives 300,000 visitors annually from schools and families from all backgrounds.  The Museum is located inside the King Hussein Park (www.cmj.jo).
About the position (Art Studio Facilitator):
Under this position, the candidate will be reporting to the Education Resources Supervisor. 
The Art Studio Facilitator Responsible for implementing Art Studio programs, delivering educational offerings and maintaining the Art Studio space to ensure enjoyable, safe and educational visits, in addition to Interacting with visitors (mainly children) and ensuring a pleasant experience.
 Responsibilities and Duties

  • To facilitate and guide visitors’ learning experience through a process of assisted discovery by conducting programs inside the Art Studio and assist and support visitors with disabilities to ensure an enjoyable and beneficial visit.
  • To read and review the Art Studio programs.
  • To prepare the Art Studio program decoration.
  • To maintain the Art Studio inventory stock and report any shortage in materials to the Content Developer.
  • To assist and guide visitors’ learning experience by conducting sessions, demonstrations and programs inside the Art Studio.
  • To support the education team with art material as and when requested.
  • To report to the direct manager on program evaluation and number of participants.
  • To maintain Art Studio items in the best condition to ensure readiness and safety in coordination with the Maintenance Department and ensure malfunctioning items are reported and dealt with properly.
  • To adhere to the Education and Programs Department and Museum policies and procedures.
  • To maintain a level of content knowledge of exhibits in general and art related activities in particular.
  • To adhere to department and Museum policies and procedure.
  • To perform other job-related tasks assigned by the direct manager

2- Graphic Designer

About the position (Graphic Designer):
Under this position, the candidate will be reporting to the Senior Communication Officer.
  The Graphic Designer Responsible for creating graphics, designs and marketing materials for the Children’s Museum to achieve marketing goals, while keeping the Museum’s identity in all communications.
Responsibilities and Duties
  • Create and develop original innovative designs and visuals that are in line with the Museum’s educational identity.
  • Create designs in different forms including: print & digital, etc.
  • Develop and create in-house dummies/ prototypes when needed for some print promotional materials.
  • Keep accurate digital records for all projects/ jobs and maintain organized archiving and back up of all digital files.
  • Communicate with different departments when needed to understand and/or to explain the direction of requested design jobs.
  • Submit quality designs/ artworks in terms of: Alignment, text formatting, balance, unity, etc.
  • Focus on the details and logical linkage between the assigned content and the design layout & concept.
  • Make sure to apply the visual marketing & communications principles while creating visuals and design tasks.
  • Make sure deadlines are met, in coordination with the direct manager.
  • The willingness to accept feedback and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Perform any other tasks related to the job assigned by the direct manager.

  • Knowledge of visual marketing & communication principles
  • Knowledge of layout guidelines
