Job Announcement: Finance Manager

Job Description 
Position Title: Finance Manager 
Reports To: Center Executive Director 
Summary
Under direct supervision of the Center Executive Director, the Finance Manager will ensure the optimum financial management and performance of the organization, and perform routine accounting functions for Partners-Jordan, the Innovation for Change MENA Hub Jordan incubator and project such as ledger/account maintenance, procurement, cost analysis, reconciliation, posting, reporting, and inventory control. The Finance Manager will produce financial reports through analysis of simple operating statistics and/or financial data. 
Responsibilities 
• Monitors revenue and expenses for Partners-Jordan programs; ensures expenditure control and compliance with funding and reporting requirements, project policy, and standard accounting procedures.
• Oversees and manages the work of the Senior Finance Officer and any other financial positions at Partners-Jordan
• Constructs routine spreadsheet applications, prepares financial data for input into finance and human resources systems, and generates reports; performs calculations which may include interest and depreciation.
• Coordinates the preparation of regularly scheduled and special billings, costs reports, analyses, studies, inventories, and financial statements.
• Opens bank accounts, prepare checks and other payments including salaries.
• Reviews and approves expenditure, personnel, and purchasing documents for availability of funding, mathematical correctness, and compliance with internal policies and Jordanian requirements.
• Coordinates with the social security corporation to include registration of employees with the social security corporation and make all necessary arrangements to for employees with the said corporation.
• Analyzes, reconciles, balances, and maintains accounting records; develops budgets and special financial reports.
• Prepares, reviews, and processes budget, revenue, expense, payroll, and related correcting entries and may prepare bank reconciliations.
• Instructs department members in funding requirements and methods and provides information for budget development.
• Communicates and meets with donors as needed to complete all necessary financial reporting and documentation
• May coordinate and monitor data processing batches including suspense control, cash counts, and balancing.
• May assist in audits and prepare audit work papers.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Key Duties
1. Analyzing and preparing financial reports, statements, and projections using standard and fund accounting principles, methods and applications on an automated accounting system or spreadsheets.
2. Analyzing, reconciling, balancing and maintaining standard accounting records.
3. Preparing and monitoring budgets using finance, accounting, budgeting and cost control procedures.
Education
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with minimum 7 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. 
Core Competencies 
• Knowledge of national, World Bank, USAID, EU, and other typical donors’ financial regulations, and the projects’ financial policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of budget modifications and extensions
• Knowledge of the project’s accounting procedures involving procurement, travel, and/or employment in Jordan; as well as the greater MENA region as needed.
• Knowledge of standard and/or fund accounting principles, methods, and applications.
• Account balancing and reconciling.
• Ability to set up and maintain financial accounts and ledgers.
• Knowledge of computerized information systems used in financial and/or accounting applications.
• Spreadsheet software skills to quantify and illustrate routine financial reports, statements, and/or projections.
• Ability to effectively communicate accounting information, policies, and/or procedures in a manner easily understood by the customer.
• Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control procedures.
• Ability to analyze and interpret financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and/or projections. 
Salary: Commensurate with experience and candidate's previous salary history.
