Application Developer
Job Brief:
We are looking for a brilliant hands-on Junior Developer to join our expanding top-notch technology team. As a Developer, you will have the opportunity to take part in brilliant products that leverages cutting-edge technologies while working in an agile development lifecycle. You will join a highly technical and eager international group of doers who are building tomorrow’s technologies. The Junior Developer will design, develop, test, implement, and support Alt Shift Creative projects and applications. Innovative thinking and the ability to ramp up on new technologies, patterns, and frameworks while also retaining focus on long-term objectives are critical to the success of the role.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting the Development Team Leader with all aspects of software design and coding.
- Attending and contributing to company development meetings.
- Learning the codebase and improving your coding skills.
- Writing and maintaining code.
- Working on minor bug fixes.
- Monitoring the technical performance of internal systems.
- Responding to requests from the development team.
- Gathering information from consumers about program functionality.
- Writing reports.
- Conducting development tests.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor Degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science or any related field
Work Experience:
- A successful candidate will have 0 - 2 years of experience building high-quality apps/ software. Experience in designing, developing, debugging and deploying apps/software
- Basic OOPs fundamentals, Java, REST/JSON, Web Services to connect Android applications to back-end services.
- Basic knowledge of UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.
- Basic understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.
- Knowledge of basic coding languages including C++, HTML5, and JavaScript.
- Basic programming experience.
- Knowledge of databases and operating systems.
- Good working knowledge of email systems and Microsoft Office software.
- Ability to learn new software and technologies quickly.
- Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented.
Strong Knowledge Of:
- Software Development lifecycle, Object Oriented Projgramming, willingness to learn new coding frameworks and languages
