Community Coordinator
Reports to – Project Manager

Role:
Coordinate capacity building for CBOs and local community initiatives in Amman, Irbid and Mafraq, working with field-based officers and a wider team in Amman. This role will work in coordination with Siren’s Community Policing Coordinator and report to the Project Manager.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Identify Community Based Organisations (CBOs) and individuals providing effective protective services in their local communities and collaboratively develop programming activities.
Manage two field officers working in project locations outside Amman including quality assuring their work.
Coordinate monthly meetings and events bringing together a range of stakeholders in six locations.
Work with Capacity Building SMEs and the wider team to develop CBO capabilities.
Coordinate with the project’s Community Policing team to ensure integration across the project’s activities and deliverables.
Work with the wider project team to provide feedback on activities and recommend adjustments if required.
Provide weekly activity reports and input into quarterly monitoring reports.
Work with the admin and logistics and procurement team to support their work on the project, anticipating procurement needs for this component well in advance.
Coordinate with the M&E team, to support project-level monitoring and evaluation against overall goals and specific objectives.
Ensure that the Project Manager is fully briefed on key successes, obstacles and opportunities for growth.
Identify additional programming partners or opportunities.
REQUIREMENTS:
A minimum of five years working on similar programming for local or international organisations
A bachelor’s degree in a related subject
Demonstrated knowledge of the operating context at local and governorate level and good contacts with a range of relevant actors
Demonstrated experience in project cycle management and in managing small teams
Proven local knowledge, planning, assessment and analytical skills.
Understanding of budgeting and compliance
Strong English language written and oral skills.
Adaptable and proactive with good social skills and effective inter-personal communication.

Demonstrated knowledge of the operating context at local and governorate level and good contacts with a range of relevant actors
Demonstrated experience in project cycle management
Proven local knowledge, planning, assessment and analytical skills.

Tact, social skills, and effective inter-personal communication.
