.Net Web Developer
Position Summary:
The web developer’s role is to design, code, test, and analyze web applications across multiple platforms. This includes researching, designing, documenting, and modifying specifications throughout the production lifecycle. The web developer will also analyze and amend application errors in a timely and accurate fashion and provide status reports where required.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices Create web-app layout/user interface by using.NET programming languages, standard HTML/CSS practices, and scripting frameworks
- Integrate data from various back-end services and databases
- Run performance tests on new and existing applications for the purposes of correcting errors, isolating areas for improvement, and general debugging
- Administer critical analysis of test results and deliver solutions to problem areas
- Generate statistics and prepare and write reports for management and/or team members on the status of the development process
- Assist in the development and maintenance of user manuals for developed applications
- Write scripts to enhance functionality and/or appearance of company Web site and/or related Web applications as necessary
- Research different software programs and development tools
- Be responsible for maintaining, expanding, and scaling existing applications and services
- Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities
- Cooperate with web designers to match visual design intent
- Identify user and system requirements for new applications and services
Qualifications and Requirements
Formal Education & Certification
- College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science or software engineering
- Minimum of 4 years of equivalent work experience
- Proficient English language skills in reading, writing, and speaking
Knowledge and experience
- Proficiency with.NET/C#, and the ability to write a clean and readable code
- Experience in developing/supporting .NET Core and ASP.NET Core applications
- Deep expertise and hands on experience withweb programming Skills; HTML/XHTML, HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, CSS3
- Enterprise experience in maintaining, supporting, and enhancing ASP.NET applications (C# & VB)
- Solid skills in SQL (T-SQL / MS SQL Server)
- Deep functional knowledge or hands on design experience with Web Services and architecture styles/APIs (REST, RPC)
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Web API, Entity Framework, LINQ, Windows Azure, Unit Testing.
- Strong administration skills (OS: Windows Server, Web Hosting: IIS)
- Knowledge of Software development methodology and software lifecycle processes, especially Agile (SCRUM)
- Good knowledge of Solution Design Patterns and Best Practices, e.g. Microservices
