Export Development Training Program Call for Candidates
ICON Institute, a sub-contractor for the GIZ Trade for Employment Project: Trade Services Development and Capacity Building for Service Providers, is looking for potential candidates to participate in a series of certified training programs to build the capacities of a pool of national experts in the fields of SMEs export promotion and development.
Participants will be trained to effectively assist SMEs and national Chambers, Sectorial Business Associations, NGOs and other trade service providers to improve and expand national export capacities to regional and international markets.
Potential candidates should have the following qualifications as minimum requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, industrial engineering, business administration or any other relevant discipline from a reputable university.
- At least 8 years of practical experience in any of the following areas:
- SMEs development, preferably in national priority export sectors.
- Market research utilizing recognized research tools.
- Organizing trade events (inbound/outbound trade missions, trade fairs, B2B meetings).
- Developing export strategies preferably for a diverse array of regional and international markets in several sectors.
- Good knowledge of Jordanian trade legislations.
- Strong skills in report writing, customer service, communication, developing and maintaining relationships with partners, analytical thinking and problem solving, teamwork and negotiation.
- Fluency in both Arabic and English.
- High skills in using computer applications and modern information technology solutions.
- Prior training experience is a plus.
Selected candidates will be required to sign a commitment agreement with the national host, participate in a series of certified training programs, and execute practical consultancies that would qualify them to be effective members of this national pool of experts.
