Primary Duties and Responsibilities
In accordance with Agency policy and procedures, the incumbent:
 Provides general outpatient services and other special services, including maternal
and child health, control of non-communicable diseases as well as for hospital
referrals;
 Participates in on-the-job and in-service training of other staff in accordance with
the approved plans;

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
 A medical degree from a recognized university including an internship of at least twelve-month
duration;
 A valid governmental license to practice medicine in the country of duty station.
 At least four years of satisfactory professional working experience.
 Good command of written and spoken English and Arabic.

 Ability to work under pressure and cope with heavy workload;
 Good organizational and planning skills;
 Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively deal with patients;
 Self-motivated;
 Ability to lead a team and work as a team member;

 Post-graduate degree or diploma in public health, family health or other related discipline.
Other Information
 Only candidates residing in Jordan with authorization to work in that duty station at the time of

Mechanical Engineer

The incumbent of this post reports to Project Manager.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
In accordance with Agency policy and procedures the incumbent:
• Measures, Records & Certifies the quantities of Mechanical Works installed at regular intervals,
usually on weekly basis & before Contractor’s Mechanical works, Staff submit an interim
payment. Then finally certify the whole quantity of Mechanical works carried out upon
completion of the work.

• Follow up & report on the progress of work regular basis to project manager
• Attends meetings as requested by project manager
• Tests installed work for safety and adequacy.
• Is responsible for the day-to-day activities of the construction site, related to mechanical works,
including supervising and monitoring the site contractors’ labourers and the work of
subcontractors, ensuring quality, health and safety measures on site.
• Checks mechanical design drawings, shop drawings and as-built drawings, compared with the
actual level and details, ensuring accuracy.
• Prepares technical, financial and any such related technical reports and information as may
be required by project manager; particularly, detailed time schedules, cost and calculates
time requirements and provides recommendations as appropriate.
• Prepares daily, weekly and monthly progress reports by collecting, analysing and summarizing
information and trends; as per request of project manager.
• Full coordination with Agency Electrical engineer in common issues (Electromechanical).
• Prepares air conditioners specifications & supervises the installation of new ACs needed for the
project.
• Reviews and checks project documents and reports about any discrepancies and deviation
from site conditions; ensures that “as- built” drawings are prepared properly; raises related
matters to the supervisor.
• Keeps site records, inspection forms, measurements tracker; monitors project progress and
identifies and resolves problems that may affect project’s completion.
• Valuates contractors’ executed mechanical works.
• Monitors the quality of materials used in the project; ensures that the supplied or coordinated
materials by UNRWA are strictly used for the intended project and purpose; keeps accurate
records of materials delivered to the site per type, quantity and date.
• Arranges for submittals & testing of materials.
• Provides assistance & consultation for other construction & maintenance projects.
• Provides technical advice to Project Manager in his Field of expertise.
• Performs such other duties as may be assigned.
Independence of Work
Application of guidance
Incumbent has to apply all Agency procedures, rules, regulations and specifications for all work
carried out. He is also required to apply his professional knowledge and exercise, judgment during
implementation of all construction and maintenance work on Mechanical installation in Agency
buildings.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• A university degree in Mechanical Engineering (Supervision of mechanical works in buildings).
• Minimum five years’ experience.
• Working Knowledge of both English and Arabic is required.
Competencies
• High level of skill in identifying Mechanical faults, diagnosing the root causes and taking
remedial action;
• Ability to maintain good working relationship with user departments and work with others in
own department in a team environment.
• Good Communication (both written& verbal) skills.
• Ability to work under pressure.
