UNRWA’s strategic objectives
The UNRWA Dispute Tribunal, which is utilized by the Agency as the neutral first instance of the
United nations two-tier formal system of administration of justice. The UNRWA Dispute Tribunal
is established under UNRWA’s Area and International Staff Regulations and Rules and is
competent to hear and pass judgment on an appeal of: (1) an administrative decision taken by
UNRWA Management in respect of a staff member that is alleged to be in non-compliance with
the terms of appointment or the contract of employment; or (2) an administrative decision
imposing a disciplinary measure.

to the Registrar of the UNRWA Dispute Tribunal, and will provide administrative support to the
Registrar.
The main responsibilities include:
 Assisting the Registrar with the receipt, registration and case management of appeals filed
with the UNRWA Dispute Tribunal, including but not limited to, receiving, transmitting, filing
and storage of all documents related to each case file, both in hard copy and electronically;

drafting routine correspondence to parties; and maintaining case management spreadsheets
and other related documents;
 Assisting the Registrar in managing and administering the human, financial and other
resources allocated to the Registry and in advising the Registrar on administrative, personnel
and logistical matters related to the Registry’s operational activities, including but not limited
to, preparing monthly attendance sheets for all members of the UNRWA Dispute Tribunal,
preparing all documents related to travel of members of the UNRWA Dispute Tribunal, making
all logistical arrangements for travel, hearings and outreach/training sessions, and making all
purchases and drafting service contracts as needed for the functioning of the UNRWA Dispute
Tribunal, including liaising and following up with the Budget, Finance and Procurement
Departments;
 Reviewing incoming e-mails to the Registrar account and preparing responses;
 Being responsible for inputting data, updating and maintaining the electronic and hard copy
case management systems for the UNRWA Dispute Tribunal;
 Assisting in the dissemination of the decisions, rulings and judgments of the UNRWA Dispute
Tribunal;
To qualify for this position, you will need:
Education University degree from an accredited educational institution in business
administration, law or related field;
Work
experience
Two years of experience as an administrative officer in a public or business
organization or institution.
Language(s) Good knowledge of written and spoken English and Arabic.
Equivalency
When the minimum requirements are not fully met, the Director of Human Resources may
exceptionally substitute part of the unmet requirements with a combination of relevant academic
qualifications, additional professional training and progressive relevant work experience.
NB: Work experience alone or formal qualifications with no relevant work experience are not
considered an acceptable combination.

Conditions of service

Monthly basic salary JD 780. Other benefits include monthly Provident Fund contribution (15%

you will be responsible to the Health Policy and Planning Officer.
The main responsibilities include:
 Supporting in the ongoing research activities and collaborations with external partners
including academia, research institutions and other humanitarian organizations. The
tasks include:
o Drafting and circulating HD internal ethical and research review procedures and
checklists;
o Coordinating with all UNRWA fields for research activities;
o Collaborating with senior staff at Hiring Department (HD), headquarters Amman
(HQA) in the development of high-quality project proposals;
o Maintaining a centralized database of research activities within UNRWA;
o Coordinating research proposals review, approvals and dissemination with internal
and external researchers;
o Coordinating Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) and agreements with
external partners (related to research and collaboration);
o Reviewing UNRWA Research Review Board (RRB) comments and feedback on HD
research proposals and coordinating with researchers to address those in timely and
scientific manner;
o Preparing a range of public information materials about the health programme
activities as needed to support the implementation of each recommendation;
o Participate in the pre-qualification of potential support/manufacturers of medical
supplies;
o Assisting in developing and implementing an efficient and cost effective formulator
system which includes consistent standards treatment protocols, a formulator list
and formulator manual;
o Developing a monitoring tool for drug safety and monitoring of adverse drug
reaction Address Drug Reactions (ADRs) and medication errors;
o Assisting in developing and implementing interventions to improve medicine use by
prescriber, dispensers, and patients;
 Deliverable:
o Analyzing and documenting internal HD research review procedures;
o Reviewing and providing technical feedback to researchers on research proposals;
o Complying with UNRWA RRB procedures and finalizing research proposals in line
with feedback from RRB.
To qualify for this position, you will need:
Education A university degree from an accredited educational institution in science,
pharmacy, medicine or relevant field;
Work
experience
At least four years of progressively responsible and relevant experience in
research review in health;
Thorough understanding of research methodologies and research software for
review and analysis of health statistics;
Knowledge of UNRWA Research Review Board (RRB) procedures;
Language(s) Good command of written and spoken English and Arabic.

you will be responsible to the Head Pharmaceutical Services.
The main responsibilities include:
 Supporting in the ongoing major quality improvement exercise and quality control for
pharmaceutical services, which includes:
o Technical review of existing and new dossiers from Long Term Agreement (LTA)
holders and non-LTA holders;
o Evaluating the current pharmaceutical stock situation at all UNRWA fields and report
any red flags to supervisor;
o Drafting and discussing plans to mitigate potential stock-outs with field
pharmaceutical focal points and following up on key actions agreed;
o Analyzing master sheets from Central Support Services Division (CSSD) for delivery
status and tallying with existing stock levels to identify any stock-out situation and
agreeing with fields and supervisor on plan of action to address the stock-outs;
o Documenting and reviewing key action points from meetings and discussions with
CSSD and fields to aid decision making and potential actions in pharmaceutical
management;
o Assisting in implementing quality assurance of pharmaceutical supplies procured by
the Agency to ensure that products conform to World Health Organization (WHO)
criteria;
 Deliverable:
o Analyzing and documenting of the pharmaceutical stocks using field specific dashboards;
o Analyzing of master-sheet for pharmaceutical procurement received from CSSD;
o Comparing and tallying of existing stock, potential stock-outs and pipeline data for
proper planning, and risk management of any stock outs;
o Analyzing and reporting on dossiers submitted by CSSD for technical evaluation and
submitting reports to supervisor and CSSD.
To qualify for this position, you will need:
Education A university degree from an accredited educational institution in science or
relevant field;
Work
experience

medical supply chain in areas of procurement, technical prequalification/review and/or other supply chain elements;
