Management Accountant

Due to the promotion of the current incumbent, we are now looking for a Management Accountant based at our plant in Amman (Jordan) which produces aluminium beverage cans. This World-Class operation has three aluminium can lines with a capacity of up to 2.05 billion cans and operates 24/7. The position reports directly to the Finance Manager of Amman.

The successful candidate will prepare, develop and analyse key financial information to support decision making to ensure future organisational improvement, whilst providing high quality support to management colleagues. They will also maintain accurate financial records, complying with external/internal policies ensuring value is achieved from management information systems. You are involved in the month end management accounting, including preparation of Income Statement, Balance Sheet, variance analysis and commentary. You play a key part in the budget and rolling forecast preparation and presentation. You support Plant functions to make financial decisions, communicating financial results and analysis to financial and non-financial managers. You identify opportunities to optimise value, implement continuous improvement and support the Plant Cost Reduction programmes. You are responsible for Capital Investment appraisal, review and accounting Standard Costing Review. You ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley Audit requirements and other internal financial risks and controls.

Job Requirements

A finance graduate, with a professional certification such as CPA, CMA, CFA, CIMA .. and proven Management/Financial experience (ideally three years post qualification experience), seeking further responsibility with future Financial Controller potential. You possess excellent communication skills and the ability to review and present data to financial and non-financial Management. You have expert technical and systems skills, including advanced Excel spreadsheet skills and ERP system experience (i.e. JDE). You demonstrate evidence of working productively and efficiently under pressure to meet deadlines whilst demonstrating attention to detail and high quality performance. You have the ability to portray analytical skills and drive continuous improvement.
