Position : Part Time - ICT Assistant

Project / Location : SOS Children’s Villages-Jordan-Amman CV.

Fees : 300 JOD per month

Direct Supervisor : National ICT Manager


    ICT Assistant is responsible to evaluate the IT skills for co-workers and care givers to create the suitable ICT training material with cooperation with HR manger and ICT Coordinator –NICTM.

    Train co-workers, caregivers, youths, and children on IT skills and support them to build their IT capacities.

    The ICT Assistant is dedicated to support ICT activities in Irbid CV also in other SOS programmes in three Villages if needed.

    The ICT Assistant report to the NICTM and Village director for any ICT related activities.

    The ICT Assistant is accountable for the development and implementation of the ICT plan in the Programs by coordinating with NICTM.

    Is responsible for quality assurance within the responsibilities defined in the ICT standards, policies and guidelines in Irbid CV and related programs.**

    Gives his/her input in the annual planning and advice strategic related to the ICT actions in Irbid CV and related programs.

    Help and support with establishing the ICT budget for Irbid CV and related programs with the cooperation of all stakeholders and insure the execution of this budget upon its approval.

    Ensure the regular reporting requested by the NICTM.



1. Physical installation of computers, servers, peripherals and network equipment.

    Monitors the ICT systems and networks in defined locations.

    Provides helpdesk service to users in defined locations in the locations.

    Documents ICT configurations and changes in defined locations.

    Organize and monitor SLA’s where necessary.

    Monitor and ensure the availability of ICT services, internet connections email etc.

    Ensures compliance with SOS ICT standards.

    Enforces and adheres to defined local ICT policies on email, network and internet usage.

2. Strategic planning, target setting, budgeting



    Implement ICT strategies, standards, goals and guidelines in Jordan, supervised by NICTM.


    Provides expertise, consultancy to the Village co-workers.

    Guide and support ICT budgeting processes, supports the NICTM in planning and monitoring.

    Help and support to Develop and implement the annual ICT plan.

3. Monitoring, evaluation and reporting

    Monitor and evaluate the implementation of policies; ensure that tools and systems are in place and correspond to the current organisation’s official policies, standards and guidelines.

    Organise and monitor technical support for national projects (on request)

    Support the regular assessment of the country providing information to NICTM.

4. Other tasks

    Performs other ICT relevant tasks assigned by the NICTM and Village Director.

    Implement any ICT and related Project in defined location.

requirement of the position :

    bachelor degree in ICT related field

    at least 2 year experience in IT training.

    have skills in IT troubleshooting (printing solution, hardware and software maintenance) and networking.
