General Purpose of the Position
The role involves data entry and analysis, supporting the HV Team Coordinator with the organization of home visits, for refugees, asylum seekers and others in their homes. The purpose of these visits are a) to accompany and socially support people in need, and b) to assess households for aid.
Main Responsibilities of the Position
1. Data entry and analysis:
a) Entering Home Visits data into the JRS database;
b) Extracting data from the JRS database for reporting and analyses; and
Maintaining the JRS database and verifying information.
2. Conducting regular home visits:
a) Conduct visits to the refugee families at their homes as per the schedule;
b) Schedule the home visits by communicating with families at least 24 hours prior to home visit;
c) Follow up with families through continuous visits and consistent communication, especially those who are most vulnerable.
d) Accompany people in need, listen to their stories, support them through their suffering, and encourage them to express their feelings; and Provision of cash aid to families according to aid criteria.
3. Handling administrative activities:
a) Complete reports with home visits HV team Coordinator on monthly basis;
b) Maintain records of home visits according to the JRS Jordan filing system;
c) Attend JRS team meeting (weekly); Assist the HV team Coordinator in additional administrative tasks to support Home Visits.
4. Organizing social gatherings and Home Visits activities:
a) Prepare list of families attending the activity and communicating with families 24 hours prior to event;
b) Support the organization of self-care and team building activities for Home Visits team members; Prepare the program of activities for the events;
c) Participate in execution of the events; and
d) Any other duties assigned by the Project Director.
Qualifications & Skills
University degree in related field or Equivalent;
Background in psychology or psychosocial experience is preferred;
Experience with NGO in psychosocial projects;
Trustworthy and good listener; and Valid driving License.
