Business Development and (MEAL) Senior Officer
Microfund for Women is a leading Microfinance company, currently is seeking to hire an “Business Development and MEAL Senior Officer”, to work with its LA (Learning Academy) the candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Economics or any related field, with At least 3 years’ direct experience in a position of proposal and technical writing in an a non for profit or NGO environment and project management.
*Note: MEAL stands for Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Monitor opportunities for fundraising and partnerships and lead the submission of funding and partnership proposals.
- Manage and/or assist in management of LA projects.
- Develop and/or update M&E tools, databases and monthly reporting formats in close collaboration with MEAL focal points.
- Contribute to developing and reporting of project reviews, assessments, surveys, and other analysis or evaluation processes and products.
- Ensuring ongoing monitoring, tracking and reporting of progress is in accordance with MFW and LA as well as different donor quality standards.
- To assist in planning and implementation of baseline surveys, monitoring and evaluation exercises and impact assessments when needed.
- Lead on planning and managing internal or external program evaluations, impact studies and case studies.
- Maintain a central register and statistics over complaints handling, and include complaints, feedback and concerns raised into learning for organizational improvement.
- Design and implement appropriate monitoring tools and mechanisms, and regularly assess appropriate tools available externally that can be adapted and used by MFW.
- Follow up on complaints handed at field level to ensure investigations are completed and agreed action based on findings are implemented.
- Any other tasks as per needed.
Job Requirements:
- Proven Technical writing ability (Arabic and English).
- Experience drafting proposals and working on monitoring evaluation, accountability and learning preferably with INGOs.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Collaborative spirit with team work and friendly feminine environment.
- Excellent time-management and organizational skills.
- Excellent English language oral and written skills.
- Positive attitude and approach, team spirited and happy to help colleagues overcome challenges.
- Attention to detail and an investigative, curious attitude.
- Ability to work under pressure and on irregular working hours.
