We are now looking for a Senior Accountant based at our plant in Amman (Jordan) which produces aluminium beverage cans. This World-Class operation has three aluminium can lines with a capacity of up to 2.05 billion cans and operates 24/7.
The successful candidate will prepare, develop and analyse key financial information to support decision making to ensure future organisational improvement, whilst providing high quality support to management colleagues. You will also maintain accurate financial records, complying with external/internal policies ensuring value is achieved from management information systems. You play a key role in Account Payable Cycle, record all the local and foreign payable transactions and manage cash flow transactions. You are also involved in month end closing process, including preparation of Income Statement, Balance Sheet, variance analysis and commentary (such as balance sheet reconciliation). You will participate in budgeting and forecast preparation. You support Plant functions to make financial decisions, communicating financial results and analysis to financial and non-financial managers. You identify opportunities to optimise value, implement continuous improvement and support the Plant Cost Reduction programmes. You are responsible to Maintain Fixed Assets ledger & Capex projects. You ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley Audit requirements and other internal financial risks and controls, and any other financial and accounting duties that may be required from time to time.
Job Requirements
A finance graduate, with a professional certification such as CPA, CMA, CFA, CIMA .. with 5 years of experience (preferably within industrial sector), seeking further responsibility with future Financial Controller potential. You possess excellent communication skills and the ability to review and present data to financial and non-financial Management. You have expert technical and systems skills, including advanced Excel spreadsheet skills and ERP system experience (i.e. JDE). You demonstrate evidence of working productively and efficiently under pressure to meet deadlines whilst demonstrating attention to detail and high quality performance. You have the ability to portray analytical skills and drive continuous improvement. You speak fluent English in addition to Arabic.
