MEDICAL DOCTOR
CONTEXT
Médecins Sans Frontières is a private, non-profit international humanitarian organization dedicated to providing medical assistance to populations in crisis, without discrimination and regardless of race, religion, creed or political affiliation. Médecins Sans Frontières is running a reconstructive surgery program in Amman and is seeking recruitment of (2) Medical Doctors.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES
- Apply medical knowledge and skills to diagnosis and prevention
- Prescribe relevant treatment according to MSF guidelines and protocols
- Ensure a medical follow-up of quality and if necessary (and possible) refer to other health facilities
- Apply hygiene standards in all medical activities
- Keep informed the patient and his family about any development
- Collaborate with nurses and team supervisor in indicating the needs in medical equipment and drugs
- Responsible of in-patients, coordinates activities around patients in the ward.
- Ensure the systematic and organized follow up of previous hospitalized patients in OPD
PROFILE
- Recognized medical doctor diploma/degree is required
- MOH license to work in Jordan is required
- Registration with the Jordan Medical Association is required
- Written and verbal fluency in English and Arabic is required
- 2 years’ experience in known Hospital, preferably in a surgical ward for orthopaedic plastic, and/or
Maxillofacial surgeries
- Experience in the medical management of chronic osteomyelitis cases (including the required
Antibiotic protocols and safe administration for each infection) is preferred
- Experience in pain management protocols including neuropathic pain management is preferred
WORK LOCATION: Amman
CONTRACT: Full time contracts. Duration for one of the contracts six months renewable, and the second for four months only
Probable start date: Med of March 2021
