Mindset, a regional market research firm based in Amman -Jordan is looking to hire a Technical Control Officer with the below qualifications:
• Diploma or BSc degree in computer engineering / computer science / or equivalent
• 0-2 years of experience as a technical support officer
• Very good understanding of operating systems, business applications, printing systems and network systems
• Diagnosis skills of technical issues
• Good command of written and spoken English
• Ability to work independently and self-learn using online tools
Some of the responsibilities include:
• Technical Support Front:
o Provide technical support to all company departments within the company
o Execute all installation, operation and maintenance work for all hardware, software, applications and programs
o Monitor and maintain computer and security systems including networks
o Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults
o Troubleshoot technical issues involving Microsoft’s core business applications and operating systems
o Replace parts as required
o Provide support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports
o Support the roll-out of new applications
o Set up new users' accounts and profiles and deal with password issues
o Maintain a log of all acquired software licenses and ensure they are renewed / cancelled as per requirements in a timely manner
o Management of databases
• Procurement & Inventory Management Front:
o Reviewing, comparing, analyzing, and approving electronic products and services to be purchased
o Maintaining positive supplier relations
o Ensuring that purchased items are both cost-efficient and of high quality
o Maintaining accurate purchase and pricing records
o Managing the company’s inventory system for electronic devices
• Any other related technical support task needed to fulfill the requirements of the position
