Job Title: Chief Accountant
Job Brief:
We are currently seeking an experienced, and thorough chief accountant to join our rapidly growing firm. In this role, you will demonstrate your management skills and accounting expertise in a variety of personal and corporate accounting practices, including overseeing payroll and taxes. You must be highly accurate and efficient, utilizing your vast knowledge of the current tax code, upholding our standard of exceptional customer service, and, above all else, ensuring that consistent, accurate accounting services are provided to our clients daily.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and oversee the entire accounting team.
• Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL control, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition, accounts consolidation and periodic reconciliations as applicable.
• Conduct all necessary training to keep the team’s skills and knowledge up to date.
• See that tax interviews are conducted properly with clients.
• Review corporate and personal income tax returns to ensure accuracy.
• Oversee the processing of payroll taxes.
• Maintain current and garner new client relationships.
• Monitor and mentor/train junior staff, and bookkeepers.
• Salaries auditing.
• Prepare invoices for companies and organizations.
• Report directly to the Accountant Manager.
• Any other tasks as and when required by the management.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or relevant field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Chief Accountant.
• Extensive corporate and personal tax experience.
• Able to motivate the team and lead by example.
• Able to thrive in a deadline-driven environment.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Expertise working with QuickBooks and financial statements.
• Exceptional computer skills, including Microsoft Office and databases.
• Fluent English is a requirement.
