We are looking for an experienced Senior Interior Designer/Architect to join our multidisciplinary team. This person must be self-motivated, collaborative and confident, and personable, as we believe client relationships are just as important as the spaces we create. IDS engages in projects of various scopes and sizes, from moderate residential interiors to extensive multi-phased renovation and expansion projects principally in the field of Hospitality. Our team is seeking a candidate who is passionate about all facets of design and planning, and who will thrive in our exciting, fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: - Collaborate with the Director of Design/Project Manager and Project Team to understand/establish project goals and objectives including, but not limited to: work plan, schedule, and budget parameters. - Create and conduct client presentations for all design phases. - Develop space plans that are responsive and conform to the program requirements and client’s goals and objectives. - Involved in all design phases, from schematic design, design development and construction documentation, through construction administration. - Develop plans, elevations and architectural details that illustrate the design intent. - Ability to manage the project consultants and coordinate the team. - Daily client engagement and management through reports and emails. - Potential growth into a leadership role within the firm. Requirements: - A creative yet practical mind. - Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design or Architecture. A Master degree is a PLUS. - 6-10 years' experience as part of a Project Team, working with lead designer. - Site experience is a PLUS. - Experience in Hospitality design or FF&E is preferred. - Proficient in: AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), freehand illustration. - Good organizational skills, multi-tasking abilities and ability to work in a team environment. - Positive attitude; willingness to learn and ask questions is a must. - Ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines. - Excellent oral and written communication skills. - Aptitude in presentation and public speaking. - Proficiency in English.
