A financial company in Amman-Jordan is seeking a System Administrator with the following responsibilities and Requirements
Responsibilities:
• Maintain essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware
• Install and configure software and hardware
• Manage network servers and technology tools
• Set up accounts and workstations
• Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements
• Troubleshoot issues and outages
• Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls
• Upgrade systems with new releases and models
• Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies
• Build an internal technical documentation, manuals and IT policies
• Lead desktop and helpdesk support efforts, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions
• Additional duties as assigned.
Requirements:
• Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role
• Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery
• Experience administering platforms across Active directory, DHCP, server OS, server hardware and virtualization.
• Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
• Solid knowledge of virtualization, Hyper-V, VMWare, or equivalent
• BSc/Ba in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline; professional certification is a plus.
