The Royal Health Awareness Society (RHAS) is looking to hire a passionate and skilled Advocacy Officer to join our team. RHAS has an advocacy agenda that works through informing & shaping health public policy and national health strategies. The advocacy officer contributes to furthering RHAS’s advocacy agenda through the implementation of advocacy activities, including stakeholder analysis & engagement, as well as advocacy across the organization’s priority areas.
Roles and Responsible:
- Contribute to the planning and implementation of RHAS advocacy campaigns and contribute to communication and awareness campaigns run and contributed to by RHAS to add Advocacy perspective
- Contribute to the development of strategic partnerships with key actors to achieve policy goals; and contribute to the formulation of advocacy messaging and narrative.
- Contribute to the production of a diverse range of information products including audio/visual communications, when needed to achieve specific policy goals;
- Contribute to the development & dissemination of policy analysis and advocacy materials including position papers, policy briefings, presentations, and other advocacy materials and communication media;
- Contribute to the identification of key opportunities in the short and long-term in which RHAS can influence policy processes;
- Coordinate & facilitate advocacy workshops, conferences, and events.
- Coordinate with RHAS partners & stakeholders to advance RHAS policy agenda including various working groups and alliances.
- Represent RHAS as needed in external meetings;
Minimum requirements:
- A minimum of two years of experience in advocacy and campaigns, including experience in advocacy events and advocacy communication;
- Strong communication and organization skills, including event organizing;
- Experience writing clearly and concisely for different audiences.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills in English & Arabic.
