Job Summary:
Under the direct supervision of the Regional Finance Manager, the primary responsibility of the Finance Assistant is to assist overall accurate accounting and reporting process
Job Description:
- Independently perform data entry, scanning and filing:
- Daily data entry in accounting software
- Ensure all transactions are proper in the system and booking, accounting procedures and principles are followed
- Monthly scanning and upload to Box drive, ensuring scans are in the system with all backup paperwork and full signatures.
- Ensure all documents are properly filed as per RI procedure
- Assist to Finance Officer Accountant in following tasks:
- Managing all Accounts Receivable/Payable, Prepaid Accounts, and Accruals
- Ensure proper usage of Balance sheet accounts with regular monthly follow up
- Ensure cash and bank reconciliations are done before closing the month
- Assist in reviewing the monthly Payroll:
- Facilitate monthly review of vouchers
- Assist following monthly, bi-monthly and annual reports are prepared and regularly reconciled
- Assist preparation of Monthly Tax payment and Social Security payment
- Performs any other tasks as requested by the Finance Officer Accountant
Professional background:
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
Formal Education:
Educated to Bachelor’s level in related field such as Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or other educational background combined with relevant professional experience.
Essential skills:
- Native Arabic speaker, fluent in English
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office package, especially Excel and Word
- Experience of working with multiple stakeholders, including local government and taxation authorities
- Strong communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
Desired skills:
- Previous experience of finance and accounting in an international INGO
- Previous QuickBooks experience
