Context and Scope
Under the overall supervision of the Procurement and Logistics Officer and the direct supervision of the Building Maintenance Manager and Construction Supervisor, the Maintenance Assistant is responsible for the following functions:
Core Functions / Responsibilities:
In particular, he /she will:
1. Responsible for minor maintenance and repair of IOM office buildings and facilities including those located in camps as may be required.
2. Performs minor renovation work on office premises.
3. Responsible for the minor maintenance related to office heating/air-conditioning and water supply.
4. Report to the Building Maintenance Manager and Construction Supervisor any maintenance requirement in the offices to prevent major damages.
5. Monitors major and minor maintenance schedules of office equipment as required.
6. Responsible for the regular inspection of the water tanks and supply pipes inside and outside IOM Offices.
7. Monitors consumable maintenance spare parts/supplies required, including fuel for the heating system, and informs the Building Maintenance Manager and Construction Supervisor for replenishment in a timely manner.
8. Monitor the performance of the A/C, make sure that all pipes around the premise are in good condition.
9. Monitor the performance of the heating system during the winter season. 
10. Perform minor repainting of office premises as required including repair of office furniture.
11.  Assists elevator maintenance crew as may be required.
12. Perform minor maintenance works related to the CCTV and access cards reader and relocate them whenever is needed.
13. Perform any other duty within the incumbent’s capabilities as maybe assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE  
• Secondary school/Diploma certificate
• Two years relevant experience in plumbing, maintenance, etc.
• Interpersonal and cross-cultural experience,
• Organised, resourceful, punctual, efficient, flexible, drive for results,
• Ability to work effectively and harmoniously with colleagues from varied cultural and professional backgrounds

Languages: 
Very good in English language (writing, conversation), Fluent in Arabic

• Participate in planning, designing and developing in-house applications for various IOM programmes including but not limited to the following: software design, writing source code, control of source code, reviewing code, configuration management, change management, program testing, integration of the software, and release management process.
• Create and design reports in a clear and concise format from IOM databases using MS Reporting Services, MS Access, and other reporting tools using multiple database sources in support of the mission and its programmatic needs;
• Provide Tier-1 end user support to IOM database applications and its reporting components conducting user training as needed;
• Provide testing and quality assurance support for applications implemented in IOM Amman;
• Maintain and ensure confidentiality of data in accordance with IOM Data protection rules and principles as guided by the IOM standards of conduct; and

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE  
• University degree in computer science or a combination of relevant education and professional experience; with a minimum of two (2) year of experience in working with SQL server environments using SQL reporting;
• High school with four (4) years  professional experience; 2 year in working with SQL server environments using SQL reporting;
