ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Scope of Work:
He/ She (hereafter referred to as ‘He’) is Defining, coordinating and monitoring the medical activity in the Neonatal Intensive Care unit according to the protocols, standards and procedures in order to ensure the delivery of quality medical care.
Accountabilities:
- Ultimately responsible for overall organization of the neonatal ICU in International Medical Corps program. He acts as an advisor on neonatal care in the program by leading the decision making process pertaining to patient care.
- As an expert in Neonatology, proposing strategy (modification on current newborn care management) and implementing them after validation of Hospital manager and Medical Coordinator.
- Ensuring on-going neonatal care training (formal and bedside) of the medical/paramedical multidisciplinary team in order to optimize the newborn quality of care.
- Leading the neonatal team in organization of the unit, supervision of quality of care and mitigation of risks by improving processes in service provision to the admitted patients.
- Keeping patients and their families informed of the illness and the treatment to follow, checking that they have been understood. Ensuring professional autonomy and confidentiality are respected and a good attitude and proper bedside manner towards the patient and their care takers and the rest of the medical team.
- Following up the evolution of the hospitalized patients through visits, consultations and examinations, prescribing the necessary treatment following neonatal protocols.
- Monitoring the proper functioning of the department, equipment or material and addressing the list of the missing item for neonatal care.
- Checking and controlling the rational distribution of medicines and equipment in the unit. Assuring general compliance with standing hygiene standards.
- Managing the team under his/her direct responsibility according to IMC’s HR policies and procedures, supervising their performance, organizing and scheduling shifts and rotations, directly participating in emergencies and on calls if necessary.
- Collaborates with the maternity staff.
- Any other task as necessary and related to the neonatal care in the project.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Valid Medical Diploma with license to practice from the MoH.
- Post graduate specialization in Neonatology. Post graduate training in Pediatrics with 2 years of work experience in Neonatal ICU will be considered.
- Valid board registration
- Experience in INGO will be desirable.

- Monitor on-going care plan development with special attention to safety issues and stabilizing the family from the effects of domestic violence.
- Coordinate the provision of social services to patients, families, and significant others to enable these parties to deal with the impact of illness on individual family functioning and to achieve maximum benefits from healthcare services.
- Conduct review for appropriate utilization of services from admission through discharge/termination.
- Evaluate client satisfaction and quality of care provided.
- Ensure involvement of local authorities, community leaders, and community groups in creating community network which increase access to better health and social services for vulnerable population of Jordan.
- Provide psychological assistance with the aim to improve the social and psychological functioning of children and their families, maximizing overall community well-being.
- Contribute to the case management file, including assessments, treatment plan and quality assurance measures (HoNOS). And client functioning scale.
- Administering medication.
- Perform other job-related duties as requested by Supervisor.
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor degree in psychology, nursing or any related majors

JOB SUMMARY
IPC Officer is responsible implementing and supervising an infection control measures in Irbid project, according to selected protocols, safety and IPC measures, in order to ensure quality of care and safety of patients, caretakers and staff
Accountabilities:
- In collaboration with each service activity supervisor, maintaining and supporting the day to day implementation of the standard precautions in health structures in all departments, and providing technical supervision, training and support to the staff on IPC related issues using existing tools such as audits, checklist, surveillance
- Implementing and monitoring adherence to additional precautions for air, droplet and contact transmissible diseases when indicated. Based on a given patient-diagnosis, evaluating the need and supporting the implementation, if needed, for additional precautions in collaboration with the medical team and act accordingly
- Implementing as planned, the correct ‘clean and dirty flows’ inside the health facility. Ensuring that environmental standards in the facility are respected (bed spacing, number of handwashing stations etc.) and together with the Hospital Manager and departmental Supervisors, that the essential requirements are available in the health structures
- Guaranteeing compliance to aseptic care techniques and to the correct use of antiseptics, disinfectants and detergents.
- Checking the consumption and the quality of IPC materials and equipment, including cleaning materials and equipment, PPE, etc.
- Creating an Infection Control Committee and participating drafting the Infection Control Action Plan.
- Supervising the team under his/her responsibility and participating in the associated HR processes (e.g. recruitment, training/induction, evaluation, potential detection, coaching, development and communication) in order to ensure both the sizing and the amount of knowledge required.
- Reporting any irregularities to the hospital manager and producing reports with information and recommendations for the monthly medical reporting
- Focal person in the project for ensuring that the staff working in the hospital has an updated vaccination record.
- Focal person for maintaining a line list of accidental exposure to blood or body fluids and liaises with the hospital manager to follow AEB protocol.
- Any other tasks as directed by the supervisor.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing with experience in infection prevention and control
- Diploma in Infection prevention and control will be desirable
- 2 years of experience in IPC
- NGO experience will be desirable

JOB SUMMARY
Child protection is the prevention of and response to abuse, neglect, exploitation and violence against children. Child protection case management is the process of helping individual children and families through direct social-work-type support, and managing information well. Within child protection case management, there should be appropriate involvement of children throughout the process, as well as full consideration of the best interests of the child.
The role of Child Protection Case Manager is to promote quality and effective outcomes through communication and the provision of appropriate resources to meet an individual child’s needs. The process includes comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation, coordination, monitoring and overall evaluation of individual children’s needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Apply guiding principles in working with children, being guided by the best interest of the child in all actions at all times.
- Familiarity with child development and children’s wellbeing
- Communicate and work effectively and appropriately with children of various ages and their families, including those who have experienced very difficult situations
- Assess risks, needs and strengths and develop the appropriate response in consultation with the child and/or his caregiver(s)
- Collaborate with clients to plan, implement, monitor, and amend individualized services that promote clients’ strengths, advance clients’ wellbeing, and help clients achieve their goals. Plans shall be based on meaningful assessments and shall have specific attainable, measurable objectives.
- Work with children, families and carers to implement the actions determined through planning to bring about the changes necessary to ensure the safety, stability and development of the child. This includes directly guiding, encouraging and supporting the child and family while monitoring impacts and outcomes
- Conduct safety planning with clients, working in collaboration with the client’s family (if/when appropriate) and other agencies to manage the identified risks
