Travel Consultant Vacancy, Male/Female
Duties & Responsibilities:
-Receiving and answering phone calls and emails from clients, providing advice, and addressing their inquiries and complaints when necessary.
-Greeting and advising clients that walk into the agency.
-Meets with clients to determine travel needs, budgets and preferences.
-Sells and coordinates transportation, accommodations, insurance, tours and activities.
-Advises clients regarding destinations, cultures, customs, weather and activities.
-Provide relevant information, brochures and publications (guides, local customs, maps, regulations, events etc.) to travelers.
-Organize travels from beginning to end, through booking tickets and accommodation, securing rental transportation etc.
-Provide high customer service level to assure member totally satisfied.
-Use promotional techniques and prepare promotional materials to sell itinerary tour packages.
-Collects payments, books travel arrangements and pays applicable fees.
-Ensure to follow all rules related to PNR’s and Profiles, invoicing, ticketing, client files plus overall work accuracy.
-Handles travel issues, conflicts, complaints, cancelations and refunds.
-Comply with company established guidelines, procedures and standards in customer service area.
-Builds and maintains relationships with travel and tour vendors.
-Conducts research on destinations and industry trends.
-Maintains accurate records of bookings, payments, transactions, phone calls and meetings.
-Involve in mandatory training as and when management assigns.
-Attends travel seminars and conferences.
Requirements:
-The applicant should have a relevant Degree or Diploma.
-At least 2 years of experience in ticketing and reservation role.
-Experience working with traveling software (Amadeus GDS) is a must.
-An in-depth understanding of travel industry policies including faring, refunds, reissues and itinerary changes.
-English language is a must.
-Knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
-Well versed in various areas of travel (domestic/international, business/holidays, group/individual etc.).
-Must be conversant with Microsoft Office software.
-Must have good skills in dealing with corporate client.
-Must have good communication and interpersonal skills.
-Must be accurate and able to pay attention to details.
-Excellent customer service skills.
-Ability to negotiate effectively.
-Strong ability to manage time and prioritize tasks
-Demonstrable ability to handle crises.
