Accountant (AP/Payroll)
Job Purpose
Provide financial and administrative support to the organization by identifying, maintaining records and processing accounting transactions in line with global accounting standards as well as company policy & procedures.
Principal Accountabilities
· Calculate, post business transactions, process invoices, verify financial data for use in
maintaining accounts payable records
· Payroll processing with proper cost center allocation
· Maintain payroll related accounts, reconciliation of accounts and accuracy of accounts
· Maintain, perform GL entries for intercompany transactions
· Review & process Petty cash
· Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments
· Handle VAT, WHT calculations and returns
· Accounts reconciliation (Bank, payroll, Payables and other)
· Manage payment cycle and Vendor reconciliations
· Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
· Contribute to setting policies and procedures where required
· Preparation of monthly expenses analysis reports (actual vs forecast and budget)
· Provide financial data to internal and external auditors as assigned by direct manager
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in finance
· IFRS certificate, CMA / CPA is Plus
Experience
· Min. 5 years of relevant experience
· Knowledge of IFRS accounting principles and standards
· Knowledge of statutory and tax regulations
· MS-Office
· English and Arabic speaker
· SAP Knowledge required: accounting, payroll, logistic, material module
