FIELD COORDINATOR
Action Against Hunger is an international non-governmental organization working in more than 40 countries in the fields of nutrition, food security and livelihoods, water sanitation and hygiene, and care practices. ACF is looking for its program in Jordan for FIELD COORDINATOR - IRBID
Work place: IRBID Responsibilities:1: Coordinate ACTION AGAINST HUNGER country strategy implementation at field level– Contributing to the design and update of the country strategy by providing field inputs to Country Director– Analysing the humanitarian context and define local strategic objectives– Overseeing the implementation of the country strategy at field level in collaboration with Head of Technical Department and Program Managers 2: Coordinate overall implementation of program at field level– supervising and monitoring the implementation of regular programs at field level– facilitating the new project’s conception in collaboration with Head of Technical Department and Program managers– supervising the work of the support services at field level, in collaboration with Head of Support Departments– ensuring the synergy between Technical and Support services at field level– ensuring the implementation of recommendations from ACTION AGAINST HUNGER high/middle level management resulting from internal audit, experts’ field visits…. 3: Manage the team at field level– supervising and managing of all direct reports– recruiting of direct reports (for expatriates upon request of Country Director)– monitoring the social climate at field level and report to Country Director in case of social issues– promoting the commitment to ACTION AGAINST HUNGER Charter and prevention of frauds and power abuses and inform the Country Director in case of frauds or power abuses 4: Facilitate good relationships with the team in capital– Update of the coordination team on program implementation– Proactively refer to the coordination team for any matter that could jeopardize the programs, the funding or the security of staff and premises– Ensure field teams proactively expresses relevant demands of support to coordination team in order to maximize operational efficiency and impact– Generally speaking, be a facilitator between the field and the capital– Pilot the follow-up on technical and support departments’ recommendations 5: Represent ACTION AGAINST HUNGER and liaise with regional authorities, UN, NGOs at field and regional level– monitoring and supervising the overall partnerships relations at field level– participating in the humanitarian coordination activities at field or regional level in rotation with the Country Director– developing the networking for effective implementation and coordination 6: Ensure reporting, capitalization and contribute to quality and accountability;– providing the Country Director with all relevant reporting documents requested from the field in collaboration with Program Managers– the overall implementation of best communication practices at field level .7: Security– monitoring the security environment (networking, collecting and analysis of information..)– maintaining an effective network, with local input, on contextual and security matters, collection and analysis of information to establish the risk and context analysis– ensuring the application of security procedures when alerted by the Logistics Manager– managing any security incidents at base level and report to the Country Director– actively participate to audits and ensure the implementation of recommendations 8: Fulfil general responsibilities and contribute to broader Action Against Hunger Jordan operational quality and consistency– maintain the confidentiality of all sensitive information at all times– Peform other job related tasks as requested by the supervisor– commit to and comply with the organisation’s gender, age, and diversity principles and policies (working with people, communication)– support on the implementation and the promotion of gender, age and diversity principles through daily activities and / or through the management of teams (managing performance and development)– commit to comply to the organization principles, values, procedures and policies.

Education:
Master’s degree or equivalent in humanities, business administration, development studies, or related fieldProfessional experience:
· At least 5 years’ experience in humanitarian/early recovery program management,· with minimum 3 years in managerial role (Team & programs)· Experience working in rural environment· Action Against Hunger experience a plus but not mandatory· Proven knowledge of programme management in the field· Substantial knowledge of standard logistics, financial and HR procedures and practices· Experience with representation toward and negotiation with both donors, local authorities and communities engagementCross cutting criteria :· English language proficiency required both oral and written· Firm understanding of ‘Do No Harm’ approach and humanitarian principles. Demonstrable understanding, willingness, and capacities to commit to, comply with, implement, and promote gender, age, and diversity principles and policies

Strong computer literacy, including ability to work with Microsoft Office and web-based softwareSkills required :· Excellent interpersonal, organizational, multitasking, management and communication skills· High capacity of work, challenge-seeker with high degree of flexibility and autonomy· Integrity, diplomacy, enthusiasm and professionalism
