INJAZ is looking to hire an experienced Financial Controller with the following requirements and qualifications:

Role Objectives:

  • The Financial Controller is responsible to undertake all aspects of financial management, including Group finance and accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget, forecasts and cash flow preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures. Finance Controller responsibilities will also include financial risk management.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Managing all finance and accounting operations.
  • Coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
  • Preparing and presenting timely monthly financial statements and monthly cash flow.
  • Supervise on all aspects of procurement process and procurement personnel.
  • Directly reporting to the Group CFO and INJAZ Education Executive Director.
  • Ensure all reporting is compliant with donors’ rules, statutory laws and financial international standards and regulations.

 Detailed Responsibilities:

  • Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Counsel, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition, ensuring that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed and reported.
  • Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
  • Supervise the management of cash flow and debt/debt collection.
  • Consistently analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Ensuring that all reporting is compliant with donors’ rules, statutory law and financial international standards and regulations.
  • Supervise month-end and year-end closing process.
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
  • Manage and comply with government reporting requirements and tax filings.
  • Develop and document financial and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Manage finance and accounting personnel.
  • Manage the external, internal, donor or government audit process.
  • Additional financial controller duties as necessary.

Education/Qualfication:

  • Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • CPA or CMA preferred.

Experince:

  • Minimum 7 years of overall combined accounting and finance experience.

Skills and Core Competencies:

  • Thorough knowledge of financial and accounting principles and procedures.
  • Experience with creating financial statements and financial reporting.
  • Experience in grants management, local and international donors’ compliance, reporting of government, corporate and foundation grants is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of government requirements related to financial matters, donors funding and compliance with tax regulations, social security and other legal requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; experience in effectively communicating key financial data to senior management and partners.
  • Able to work under pressure.
  • Excellent leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Able to coordinate, delegate and integrate all activities involved in accounting operations.
  • Very Good judgment, tact and decision making.
  • Knowledge of computerized information systems used in accounting applications.
  • Very Good English and Arabic languages written and spoken.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications.
