WMS Administrator
Summary:

Candidate to have 2-3 years of experience in applications management and development, preferably in ERP or WMS Enterprise Solutions. Candidate to have a very good communication and analytical skills.
WMS Administrator is responsible for maintaining the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and supporting the daily operations. The WMS Administrator will attend the training sessions conducted during the implementation process and which include warehouse operations and technical support. He will play an active role during the implementation to ensure that a transfer of knowledge and skills is being undertaken from the implementation team. The WMS administrator is the main point of liaison between the warehouse operators and the supplier support desk. He should be very familiar with the technical aspect of the WMS and should be capable of analyzing and debugging system issues. In addition, the WMS administrator should have strong skills in developing WMS reports or queries whenever required.

• General Skills

1. Strong leader with the ability to control and enforce procedures within the operations.
2. Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand business requirements.
3. Strong analytical skills with the ability to quickly react to issues arising from within the operations.
4. Strong follow-up and communication skills in regards to the WMS users and the customer support desk.
5. Experience with business-critical applications.
6. Experience within a similar warehouse environment would be a plus.
7. Experience implementing, using, or maintaining a WMS with RF functionality would be a plus.

• Technical Skills

1. Experience with an RDBMS such as Oracle or SQL Database server, preferably with the Database server implemented with the WMS. A DBA certificate would be a plus.
2. Ability to design and configure reports using ODBC tools such Crystal Reports, Cognos, Excel, etc.
3. Knowledge of MS Office applications particularly Excel and Word.

• Ongoing Responsibilities

1. Acting as a single point of contact
2. Provide first-level internal support to the WMS super users and other operators:
3. Resolving day to day user issues (only reverting to customer support desk if requirement is outside normal operational issues)
4. Monitor all integration touch points between the different systems and troubleshoot all issues.
5. Monitor the RF environment and maintain the RF equipment whenever required.
6. Documenting and logging all support issues
7. Perform testing on bug or issues.
8. Deploying patches or fixes.
9. Maintain the production environment and configure the system to meet changing business requirements including the introduction of new sections within the warehouse.
10. Monitors and manage the WMS database including scheduled archives for historical data, fine tuning the database server when needed, memory allocation…
11. Capability to generate and modify reports on an ODBC compliant tool (Crystal, Cognos, Excel, etc.)
12. Test new functionality as they are being introduced in the testing/training environment and support the end users when they are ported to production.
13. Perform scheduled or ad-hoc database backups.
14. Ability to develop new interfaces (touch points) with 3rd party client ERP systems
